Love my boys!

This has been a great week back with my boys! Thought I'd post a few of the pictures I've taken during the week of random things we've been doing. Carter had a homework project this weekend to create a "pet poster" for school. It was Daddy's idea to draw a dog house and then put pictures around it. Carter drew 4 pictures of Belle doing different things and then we added some photographs as well. He was so excited to take his poster to school to present it to the class this morning. Carter and Hayden have started to really play well together without as much fighting. I've noticed in the past 2 weeks how Carter is much more willing to share his toys with his brother. They've been on a kick of wearing their caps everywhere. Whatever Carter does, Hayden does also. Monkey see, monkey do. :) Carter has also really become interested in counting, doing simple addition, and starting to read. The school sends home "sight word" books for him to read to us. He was so proud this weekend to announce that he can now count to 110--higher than his friends at school. He loves to pick up a book and "read" and of course, Hayden follows suit. Earlier in the week we still had snow in the yard from the big snow storm the previous week. Hayden cracked me up carrying his snowball in his mittens around the yard and eating it as he went. Another thing Carter has started to enjoy (and has become independant at) is playing games on the computer. He especially likes Hot Wheels games and Nick Jr. games. He loves to wear Daddy's headphones when he plays. I didn't get a pictures of this, but Saturday morning Hayden had us laughing when he took the door off the hinges in our bathroom. It is one of those "saloon style" doors that separates the toilet area from the rest of the bathroom. He had a big smile on his face when he realized what he'd accomplished. Good thing it was easily fixed. Finally, we are excited to get Belle back today. She's been in a 2-week dog training program where she boarded at the facility. (Man's Best Friend) We have really missed her and are anxious to see what she's learned.

Cute pics Alison!! Cassidy has been more into learning new things lately too. She has even been reading some decodable books from my school and wanting to work on a practice sticker book I found at wal-mart. I am determined to teach her to read by the end of the summer. At least the sight words.
