Recent happenings

Seems like we haven't been too busy lately, but I've taken several pictures to share. At the advice of my friend, Stephanie, we started a live butterfly project. We got our 5 caterpillers a week ago and today they climbed to the top of the jar to start making their cocoons. Carter is so excited and has been watching them grow all week. More pictures to come.

week with Mom and more Favorite Things

We just finished a week with my mom here and it was so enjoyable. We were able to visit and relax while the kids were in MDO and Mom got alot of Grammy time with them when they were home. We went to the new MOLA exhibit at the zoo on Wednesday and I took her to the new Aldi store on Thursday. Having Mom here also allowed Heath and I to take Carter to see "How to Train Your Dragon" in the theater on Sunday and take him to his kindergarten orientation on Thursday. I was sad when she left on Friday, but we'll see her again in Hondo for a family reunion in May.
Just for fun, here are some of my new favorite things:

These almonds have a portion control measuring tool on the side of the jar so you know when to stop eating. They are a great snack to get through the afternoon till dinner time.

This is the best breakfast cereal ever!! I can't stop eating it. Plus it's loaded with fiber and protein to keep you from getting hungry.

Love the new Dial NutriSkin glycerin bar soap. Yummy scents.

Tylenol 8-hour can get rid of a headache or backache like nobody's business.

Finally, I couldn't find a picture of it, but I was pleasantly surprised to find Oscar Mayer now makes nitrite-free hot dogs and they aren't even any more expensive. Look for them under the "Premium" label. $1.98/package

Easter!

This year we went to Heath's parents' place in Winters for Easter. The kids had a great time being at "Gran & Gramps'" house. Heath welded our gazebo back together (after the spring storms last year) and helped his dad repair their roof. The boys got to hang out on the farm and see the cows. Carter got to drive Gramps' new buggy while we looked for wildflowers for the kids' Easter nests. Sunday was a full day of Easter egg hunts, both at church and at the house. The boys now have a ton of candy! They also got some other cute things from the Easter bunny.
